We should care about global inequalities because we are all affected by the outcome. No matter what your status is and where you live you can be affected by global inequalities. The gas in our cars, the clothes that we buy all come from countries that are less fortunate than the United States. We should care what happens in these countries because if they stop producing we would be affected.

Social Class
Social class matters in the U.S today. If you are born into a high social class you have the luxury of nice things and you have lots of money. Most people in this class live their lives in the media or use their power to influence things.
Being born in a lower class makes it hard for you to reach the top. You have to struggle and work to make it and nothing is handed to you. So I think social class plays a large role in the United States. Opportunities are typically better when you are leaving in a high class environment.

Changing Social Connection
I believe Americans are more isolated today due to technology. My children don't use the cell phones to talk to there friends they text or use facebook. I asked my son does he every talk on his phone and he replied yes to call you or dad. We live in a world where technology is taking over and you dont have the personal experience anymore. I think that we should be concerned with the way things are going, because at this rate the children coming up will not know how to hold a conversation with out using text talk or send a simple email with our abbreviating something. Technology is good when used the correct way.

The Criminal Justice System
I think that our jails are filled with too many small time offenders like crack addicted crimes and small drug dealers. The government should focus more on stopping the drugs from coming into the US then on small drug dealers and addicts. The addicts that are in prison are still able to get the drugs because the guards are getting paid to bring the drugs into the prison. The prison system is so over populated because of the strong sentences put on small crime offenders. Some drug dealers get more time then people who commit crimes that are a lot worse. Drug dealers and addicts should do time for the crimes but not long sentences like 15 to 20 years.

Nature vs Nurture
I beleive that both nature and nurture play a role in how we act in life. The way we are raised has a lot to do with the way we act daily, but we still pick up habits and actions from experience. This is why I feel they both go hand and hand. The texts notes how a baby knows to latch on to the mothers breast. This is an great example of natural instinct. I still feel strongly that both nature and nurture are a big part of how and why we make decisions as adults.

Video Clip
The British people look at Americans in a poor light if this clip is what they think we act like. I would say this is no different than how we laugh at other countries on Saturday Night Live. We all have a right to say what is and isn't funny and to the British this clip of Americans was funny. No harm done in my opinion, but it does lead one to think that the British see Americans as sloppy and simple people from the way Hugh Laurie is dressed.

Stanford Prison Project
I think the project was unethical. The guards were put in a leadership position that made them feel like they had power over the prisoners. All the people in the experiment were lawful citizens that took a chance to be in this experiment because they needed money. No matter what power a person is given all people deserve to be treated fairly. The prisoners were treated like less because they tried to rebel against the system and the guards felt a need to stand ground. This project was unethical and I feel that this type of project shouldn't have done.
